The Mount Somerset

The Mount Somerset will be closing permanently and indefinitely from the 31st March 2025. All bookings after that date have been cancelled; if you had a booking you will have received an email to this effect, providing the details on your reservation were correct.

Despite our best efforts and the wonderful support from the local community; running costs, increased food costs, imminent increases in hourly wage and NI contributions (which frustratingly we are in support of in terms of a better standard of living for our team) and the nature of living in and loving a vintage girl, like The Mount Somerset, have meant that the business has become quite untenable.

We know that many of our bookings will have been made for special occasions and celebrations, we are truly devastated we won't be able to welcome you for these events and offer our sincere apologies at the frustration and inconvenience this will cause you.

We realise that a number of our guests have Gift Vouchers to redeem.

Please be ASSURED that all Gift Vouchers, unredeemed by the 1st April 2025 will be refunded to the purchaser. We will be sending (another) email out to all purchasers ASAP to explain the process. We regret that individual requests for refunds will not be responded to or acted upon until after the 1st April to avoid any confusion with redemption/ refunds.
