One of the top restaurants in Somerset

"Highly recommend this restaurant. Location is slightly off the beaten track but not a problem. The portion sizes are good value for money and the food is of excellent quality. We were pleasantly surprised by the canapés at the start of the meal. The staff were welcoming and friendly."

  Perfection

"Had the set menu for lunch and it was divine. The tasty canapés, the light as a feather cheesy cheese soufflé, the luxurious braised beef cheek, and the fabulous frangipani tart, just blew me away. By far the best food I’ve ever had in Somerset. All for £30, just incredible. The beautiful setting, stunning décor and artwork, with all the staff making us feel thoroughly spoiled, it was a wonderful experience. Definitely going again soon."

  Excellent lunch in beautiful surroundings

"This place is lovely. Amazing food from Ollie as usual and delightful surroundings. We were warmly welcomed by Rebecca and had a drink in the relaxing bar next to the log fired stove. We had the excellent value 'prix fixe' 3 course lunch. Smoked haddock scotch egg, followed by roast belly pork and then treacle tart. As the menu will be changed frequently I am looking forward to my next visit already."

  Great experience and amazing location

"We went there on Sunday for lunch. Everything was cooked beautifully we had the three courses menu and it was fantastic. Both started were really tasty and well cooked. The pork belly was very very very tender and very well cooked. All in all great experience."
