For all full time positions

Operating hours from November until the rooms open (approximately April 2024) will be Wednesday to Sunday (9pm). Days off will be Monday + Tuesday. Once the accommodation is open we will become a 7-day a week operation and days off will vary but will, except in exceptional circumstances, be back to back.

In line with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, we do require all applicants to have the eligibility to live and work in the United Kingdom. Documentation will be required at interview stage. We do not have any live-in accommodation available.

Sous Chef

No labouring the point on this role....

We are looking for a strong junior sous or experienced CDP to support the head chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Someone with experience in an an environment where all dishes are cooked from scratch is preferable but a genuine interest in food provenance and seasonality is more important.

You must be confident that you can lead and mentor less experienced team members, be prepared to head the kitchen in chefs absence and uphold standards in food preparation, health, safety and hygiene.

Please be aware that initially, as this is a new venture, extra commitment and determination will be required as we navigate a brand new kitchen and working environment.

SALARY iro £30K plus fair share of tips.

CDP

Looking for an enthusiastic chef, keen to gain experience in a kitchen where everything is cooked from scratch, from stocks and sauce, to bread and ice cream and everything in between.

You must be aware of health and safety procedures, be conscious of costs and wastage and be confident in taking charge of your own section - ensuring you are ready for service and able to provide support up the line.

SALARY iro £27.5K plus fair share of tips.

Commis Chef Apprentice

As in every industry our expectation from an apprentice is simply a genuine interest in the industry and desire to learn. We will be working with Bridgwater and Taunton college to fulfil apprenticeships and can commence an apprenticeship at any time (not just at the start of the school year).
We can not onboard any new apprentices until we have a fully functioning restaurant and kitchen, but do contact us or the college if you are interested.

Casual Front of House Staff

We are looking for a bank of part-time, evening and weekend staff for the restaurant. We will be offering lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday and lunch on Sunday.

We will be recruiting a mix of experienced and not so experienced team members, so if you are interested, have no experience, but plenty of smiles and are happy to engage then please get in touch. Willingness goes miles.

Young applicants must have completed their GCSE year to apply due to working regulations for young people. At this time we do not have weekday/ term time only positions available. But do check back as we get nearer to the rooms opening.
